The Origin

I built Meechi because I was tired.

• Tired of Subscriptions: Every tool I loved eventually became a monthly rent. I wanted software I could own.
• Tired of "Feeding the Beast": Using cloud AI meant sending my most private thoughts to a black box. I hated the feeling of training a model that didn't know me.
• Tired of Context Rot: My notes were scattered across Notion, Obsidian, and Apple Notes. AI couldn't see my past, so every conversation started from zero.
• Tired of Maintenance: I spent endless hours updating, configuring, and fixing my tools instead of using them to think.

I needed a tool that respected my privacy, remembered my context, and didn't ask for a credit card every month. I couldn't find one, so my partner and I are building one.

The Studio of Two

I come from a background in Design and User Experience. I focused my career on human-centered design, but I always had interest in computers. I ended up becomng a "designer who codes" building my own tools to learn more about people's experiences. But it had a tax.

The tax was Syntax.

I was a "designer who codes", not a developer. I could make things work but it took me a lot of time and effort, always hitting walls I couldn't break through.

I needed a tool that respected my privacy, remembered my context, and didn't ask for a credit card every month. I couldn't find one, so my partner and I are building one.

One Human. One Agent.
The perfect symbiosis.

In this model, I am the Dreamer. I bring the "Why." I bring the Nordic desire for simplicity, the Japanese reverence for Jiyū (autonomy), and the Brazilian instinct for warmth. I set the constraints. I define the ethics. I infuse humanity.

The AI is my Agent. It brings the "How." It organizes my thoughts, writes the code, audits the security, and executes with meaningful precision. It deploys logic.

The DNA

My design philosophy is a chaotic but harmonious mix of my three worlds - Brazilian born, Japanese heritage, and living in the Nordic:

• Nordic Simplicity: The belief that tools should be quiet. They should work without demanding praise (or attention).
• Japanese Jiyū (Freedom/Autonomy): The structure that enables freedom. Discipline in code creates liberty in usage.
• Brazilian Intuition: Computing should feel warm. It should have a pulse. It should welcome you, not just process you.

The Mission

I built Meechi simply because I couldn't find a tool that respected my way of thinking.

Now, my mission is to share this tool with you. To give you a digital room of your own - private, capable, and yours forever - so you can find your own flow as a Studio of Two.

Trust is earned, not claimed. That is why the core engine is open source.
